Well, too mainstream series to watch, with an IMDB rating of 7.7/10, I would like to give you insights about this very series, which is one of my favorites to watch, recently the season 4 of '13 reasons why' was released, which rumors say is probably the last season of it. Yes, you heard it right.
.
Talking about the plot of the season, this season doesn't really make you completely sad, it is pivoted on one of the protagonists of the series - 'Clay Jensen' and the fact that he and his group of friends were hiding the death of their very enemy and the rapist - 'Bryce Walker',
.
you will see that this season revolves around the mental health of everyone, starting from 'Clay', to 'Jessica' to 'Zach' and a lot more characters to list.
.
Clay is horrified by the fact that he and his friends have accused Monty, who actually died in the previous season 3, just to cover up the murder of Bryce Walker, and hide the fact that Alex killed him, in which Jessica supported him, Jessica believes that he deserves to die, but Alex somewhere believes that he nobody deserves to die including 'Bryce'.
.
You will see that a few more characters have been introduced in the last season, talking about 'Diego' - he seems to be that person, who respected Monty a lot, which kind of puts a threat to the life of Clay and his friends, this whole season is all about how they hide this fact of covering up a murder from 'Winston', 'Diego' and Monty's sister - 'Estella'.
.
Estella is new, and in the season, she is acting as a junior to them, while everyone else is senior to them, her character portrays a person who is naive, and unaware about the facts of the 'Liberty High School'. She seems to like the generous - 'Tyler'.
.
The Dean Foundry and the Principal decide to put security cameras, metal detectors, and SROs on duty for the safeguard the whole school. They involve the parents in this process, keep secret meetings, to discuss how to track their children's lives, since the parents and school think the children are hiding their private life, from them, they track their phones, gadgets, to keep an eye on them.
.
As the season moves ahead, we see Clay dealing with various traumas and psychological problems in his life, he decides to meet a psychiatrist cum neighbor, who tries to assess him, and help him to get rid of these mental problems of him, Clay realizes, that he has been lying to everyone, his friends, family, and everyone in his life, he and Ani's relationship, struggles to stumble upon, but with the season coming to end, during the prom, they finally resolve their relationship issues, and finally decide to become friends,
.
Talking about the second most important character, Justin Foley, who like Clay struggles with mental and physical problems in his life, poor guy, you will sympathize him in the end, while Clay's parents try to test them both for drugs, astonishingly, Justin comes clear, while Clay doesn't. Justin, faces a lot of hardships to stand firmly, since in the 8th episode he gets to know that his careless mother dies, at last, he sympathizes with her, he says that her mother deserved a chance to get recovered.
.
in the last episode, he dies, which gives Clay a major heartbreak, and he gets extremely sad upon that, as Justin and Clay seem to have a bond like real brothers, sadly Justin gets selected for one of the top Ivy League Colleges, but he couldn't go, unfortunately. While Clay goes to his room, Justin talks to him and tells him that he is the only positive influence in his life, to drag him from the hell, and to give a new life.
.
The last episode brings to the graduation day of all the children where Jessica gives an inspirational speech, as well as Clay, puts up his feelings through his speech, and in the end, everyone decides to bury the tapes of 'Hannah Baker' into the ground, to end it all, and that gives a not so happy ending to the series.
