This fun filled modern show follows the lives of four best friends as they navigate their hectic lives in South Bombay.

Damini is a smart and driven award winning journalist and the founder of investigator.com. Umang is an out and proud bisexual and gym trainer. Anjana is a successful lawyer and a divorcee with a daughter. Siddi, the baby of the group, is being forced to get married by her mother but has one of the best character arcs in the show.

The first season is quick and engaging but takes just the right amount of time to address some important issues. From sexist patriarchal ideals to double standards to the discrimination women face at work, this show covers it all naturally and accurately. This show is filled noteworthy and praiseworthy moments but I would be here all day if I wrote about them.

This is a truly feminist show. Not just because the leads are strong independent women that stand up for themselves but also because the show honestly portrays how ingrained the patriarchy is in everyone- men and women alike. But the feminism is limited to the upper class.

It never tries to hate on men. It shows all kinds of men that exist in society. From wholesome men like Jeh that treat women respectfully and as equals to men like Varun who unknowingly enforce the patriarchy. But with that it also honestly shows sexist and misogynistic men like Anjana’s boss in season 2.

As exciting and interesting as the first season is, the second season is a bit slow and not as eventful. It starts with showing what the leads are up to after the explosive season 1 finale and progresses with new problems and situations. Unlike season, these problems don’t feel as significant and fail to make an real impact. Nevertheless, it’s still bingeworthy.

Biggest takeaway- definitely watch this show. It’s fun, it’s real, and the character development is amazing. Can’t wait for season 3.
